  • Jessy Mendiola has always had a dainty style, but as a soon-to-be-mom of a baby girl, it looks like her penchant for the ladylike aesthetic has become increasingly evident. Her maternity OOTDs are a medley of gorgeous frocks, particularly favoring classic white dresses with an occasional LBD plus that equally ethereal floral number. Pregnant or not, we're definitely taking sartorial notes!

6 Pregnancy Style Tips From Jessy Mendiola's Best Outfits

    1. Silk and Scrunch in the Second Trimester

Jessy announced her pregnancy on social media with husband Luis Manzano. The parents-to-be were matching in white OOTDs, with Jessy swathed in an elegant white silk dress as they both caressed her growing baby bump.

Pregnancy Style Tip: Fabric makes a difference.

A delicate silk can make anyone feel sexy as it lightly hugs your curves. Often, pregnancy can make you feel losyang and the best at-home clothing materials would be cotton or jersey. A silk piece in your closet for a lunch date out (or even when you sleep!) could do wonders for your self-care and self-esteem, though.

    2. Flaunt Your Assets (For All Trimesters!)

For their reveal party, Jessy stunned in an off-the-shoulder white dress with a flounce neckline, which she paired with Manolo Blahnik mules with kitten heels.

Pregnancy Style Tip: Don't be afraid to wear "normal" clothes. Just pay attention to your hip size through the pregnancy trimesters.

Of course, all bodies are different, but around the middle of the second trimester, you'll notice the size of your belly grow forward, sidewards, or both. While most fabrics and cuts can accommodate the bump, your hips are loosening up and adjusting as well. Take note of this when you're buying dresses. Make space for your midsection but flaunt your shoulders, legs, and even growing bust!

While it's easy to go for a maxi dress, check out your favorite styles anyway and don't let pregnancy stop you from wearing halters, tubes, or asymmetric cuts.

    3. Be In Tiers For The Third Trimester

During the couple's mini babymoon in Singapore, Jessy was spotted exploring the Art Science Museum in her tiered maxi dress in cream, which she accessorized with a Prada bucket hat and a Dior Bobby crossbody bag.

Pregnancy Style Tip: Go for empire cuts and babydoll dress styles.

This is a great time to draw all the emphasis to your bust area and just let your belly be comfortable in a dress. Beautiful prints and patterns in flora, lace, or ruffles make this look extra dainty.
