Bianca Gonzalez Fosters Her Kids’ Love for Country at Protest Rally

Actress and host Bianca Gonzalez made a heartfelt statement on September 21, 2025, as she joined thousands of Filipinos in the Trillion Peso March. On social media, she shared a reflection that was both personal and urgent:

“PLEASE, ’WAG NA TAYONG MAKALIMOT THIS TIME.

Itong laban na ’to goes beyond today. Alam kong mahirap pagsabayin ang lahat ng ginagawa natin araw-araw sa bahay, pamilya, trabaho, sarili, tapos dadagdag pa itong problema sa mga KURAKOT na opisyal.

But let us not forget: THEIR CORRUPTION AFFECTS HOW WE LIVE OUR LIVES EVERY DAY. Mula sweldo, traffic, public transport, baha, eskuwela, bilihin, gastusin, everything is political. Let us continue to make our voice heard and hold them accountable.”

In her Instagram Stories, Bianca took followers on a trip down memory lane. She shared a snapshot of her as a three-year-old in 1986, raising the Laban sign with her family during the People Power Revolution at EDSA.

“My mom took us siblings to EDSA in 1986 for the People Power Revolution. I was 3 years old,” she wrote.

Below it was yesterday’s image: Bianca and her husband, JC Intal, alongside their daughters, now nine and six, at Luneta. “Today, we took our 9 and 6 year old daughters to their first ever rally, the Trillion Peso March. We wish for them to grow up with deep love for country and aware of the issues and struggles of our people.”

In another post, Bianca reflected on her longtime activism and the enduring struggle against corruption in the Philippines. She shared on Instagram:

“Over a decade later, this photo remains relevant. I took it during the Million People March at Luneta in 2013, amid the pork barrel fund scandal. And now, in 2025, here we are again.

Someone recently asked me how I manage not to lose hope. It’s hard not to feel helpless when those who are supposed to protect us are the ones making life harder—deceiving and betraying the people. But despite everything, I choose to keep hope alive. Because what other choice do we have? Filipinos deserve better.”

The rally was set on a date heavy with history. September 21 is remembered as the day Ferdinand Marcos Sr. declared Martial Law in 1972. Every year, Filipinos mark the occasion as both a warning and a call to vigilance.

This year, the Trillion Peso March and Baha sa Luneta protests zeroed in on alleged corruption in flood control projects worth billions. Funds intended for infrastructure and disaster preparedness remain unaccounted for. For families, that means flooded homes, dangerous commutes, broken public services, and higher daily expenses.

Besides Bianca and JC, other celebrity parents at the rally included Anne Curtis, Erwan Heussaff, Jodi Sta. Maria, Junnie Boy, Vien Iligan-Velasquez, and DJ Chacha. Many of them echoed the call for a better future for children.
