Joyce Pring has finally completed her college journey with an AB Communication degree. To top it off, she graduated Summa Cum Laude and received the Best Thesis award from the University of Perpetual Help System DALTA Las Piñas.

The TV host, podcaster, and mom of two marched on July 9 at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City, fulfilling a dream she had put on hold for 15 years.

On Instagram, Joyce shared a moving reflection about this milestone. She wrote, “What began as a quiet resolve to finally complete my college degree has unfolded into something of deeper purpose—a journey that has transformed far more than my academic life.”

“This diploma isn’t just a piece of paper—it’s a promise kept: a promise of healing, restoration, and newness of life… that in the brokenness and in the mire that my 18-year-old self was found, God has weaved the most beautiful story for His glory, and for my good. Seeing it all now that I’m 32 is just an incredible blessing.”
Her husband, actor Juancho Triviño, also posted about the graduation on Instagram, sharing photos from the ceremony. “I just want to let you know how proud I am of you. Sa araw-araw kitang kasama, nakikita ko how tough and resilient you are, and I am amazed at how God continues to work in your life to inspire a lot of people, even me,” he captioned.
Their kids, Alonso and Agnes, were present at the graduation to support their mom on her big day.

“Some days it will be very hard and make you think otherwise. But this is just temporary. Prove to yourself that you can do hard things,” one mom said.

A Journey 15 Years in the Making

Last month, Joyce shared a preview of her graduation photos and reflected on the journey that led her back to school, captioning the post, “A dream 15 years in the making.”

In one of the photos, she explained, “I wanted to fulfill this dream because diploma o diskarte is a false dichotomy–one can do both.”

At 18, Joyce entered the University of the Philippines Diliman to study Fine Arts but had to stop due to financial struggles. She worked to support her family and built a career as a Myx VJ and GMA host.

In 2023, Joyce’s manager, Betchay Vidanes, encouraged her to pursue her undergraduate studies, and she did so while raising two kids and working full-time.

On Instagram, Joyce shared a clip from her graduation where she delivered her Message of Thanks. She said, “It took me 15 years to arrive at this moment. I’m not only celebrating my college graduation, I’m fulfilling a promise I made to my 18-year-old self who had to set aside her academic dreams to work and survive.”

“It took me 15 years to fulfill this dream, but by God’s grace I am here, and so are you.”

Congratulations, Joyce!
