Getting a PSA certificate is now easier with the new PSA E-Certificate Service. You can request birth, marriage, and death certificates online without going to a PSA office. The service makes it faster to get documents for school, work, or other requirements.
Launched Wednesday at the PSA office in East Avenue, Quezon City, the digital service is part of the government’s vision for a digitally enabled Philippines, helping simplify everyday tasks and make official services more accessible.
National Statistician Dennis Mapa said the system includes strong security features. “This service utilizes advanced cryptographic safeguards. This will ensure that the issued civil registry document is impossible to forge or tamper with,” he said. Each E-Certificate also includes a QR code so institutions can verify the document instantly.
Digital certificates carry the same legal weight as traditional paper ones, while also helping the environment by reducing the need for physical delivery and minimizing waste.
What Is a PSA E-Cert?
A PSA E-Cert is a secure digital version of a PSA certificate in PDF format. It is an exact scanned copy of the original document and is digitally signed through the Adobe Approved Trust List to ensure it has not been altered. To protect personal information, only authorized requesters can order an E-Cert. Users must upload a valid government-issued ID and complete a selfie verification to confirm their identity.
The service is not free. Fees depend on the type of request. A PSA birth certificate E-Cert costs P290, which allows you to download a digitally signed and verifiable copy once it is released.
You can access the PSA E-Certificate Service at PSAHelpline E-Cert.
