LEGOLAND’s Biggest Park Opening July 2025 in Shanghai

A LEGO-built skyline, eight themed lands, and millions of colorful bricks are coming together at what may be the largest Legoland park yet. Opening July 5, 2025, Legoland Shanghai Resort is the LEGO Group’s first theme park in China and could set a new standard for LEGO destinations worldwide.
The park, a joint project between Merlin Entertainments and the Shanghai Jinshan District government, spans 318,000 square meters in Jinshan, about 75 kilometers southwest of downtown Shanghai.
Opening Details, Ticket Prices, and What to Expect
Legoland Shanghai includes eight themed zones: Ninjago, LEGO Friends, LEGO City, LEGO Castle, Brick Street & Bricktopia, Legoland Creative World, and Monkie Kid, which was based on the Chinese-inspired animated series.
Each zone features over 75 rides, life-sized LEGO models, interactive play areas, and water attractions for children aged 2 to 12 and their LEGO-loving families.
The park will also feature a LEGO-themed hotel with colorful rooms, character meet-and-greets, and play areas that extend the fun beyond park hours. Dining and retail spots will offer themed menus and exclusive LEGO merchandise.
Among the park’s highlights is a miniature replica of Shanghai’s waterfront. Built from more than 20 million LEGO bricks, the display captures the skyscrapers of Lujiazui alongside the Bund, a row of colonial-era buildings from the city’s early 20th century.
The installation, housed inside the park’s Miniland pavilion, took over 168,000 hours to complete and will likely become a major photo spot.
Theme park tickets start at ¥350 (around ₱2,804) for a 1-day pass. A 1-day Parent-Child Ticket starts at ¥1,013 (around ₱8,116). Annual passes and other ticket packages will also be available, so visitors are encouraged to check the official Legoland Shanghai website for the latest offers. Tickets will be sold through the park’s website and authorized partner platforms.
Trial operations began on June 22, 2025, ahead of the official grand opening on July 5. For LEGO fans, families, and travelers seeking a playful new escape, Legoland Shanghai Resort is one to anticipate.
