Miracle Baby: Meet Courageous Caitie's Baby Sister!

Yesterday, February 14, Courageous Caitie's dad Jayjay Lucas took to social media to announce that his wife Feliz gave birth to a baby girl. She arrived at 11:25 a.m., the same time Caitie passed on March 31 of last year. Today, the family announced the name of the new addition to the family: Tabitha Calea Xinyi. 

Along with the first close-up photo of their "little burrito," Jayjay explained on Instagram that his daughter's names combined meant "grace in joyous harmony." His brother Jeff Lucas also posted several photos of the momentous occasion. 

Based on Instagram photos, the couple's son, Ethan, was the first to see his new baby sister, a family tradition. "We made it a point with Caitie before that she would be the first one to see her little brother when he came out of the OR [operating room]," Jayjay wrote. "Now it was Ethan's turn to see her baby sister for the first time and give her first kiss," he added. 

Meanwhile, Feliz also took to Instagram to share her first few minutes with her daughter. "While in the recovering room, as I embrace this new miracle as she breastfeeds, I whispered a prayer of blessing for her, for me and for my family," she wrote.

According to Feliz, Tabitha's arrival on Valentine's Day was "totally unexpected." Her due date was supposed to be on March 5, the same day Caitie was finally diagnosed with the unforgiving disease that took her life. In fact, they were so unprepared that they had not even chosen a name yet nor packed a D-day bag.

"No clothes, nothing prepared, no bath and no camera, LOL," Feliz quipped. "But I thanked God for this as well. We can prepare so much but God reminded me to let go and surrender that indeed in all things He is sovereign and good," she added.

The new mom also revealed that her third pregnancy was marred with a lot of complications. She mentioned kidney stones, cervix shortening, and bleeding. "Grace indeed that the baby is well and healthy! Giving birth is such a humbling experience!" Feliz wrote.

Caitie's spirit will always be alive especially with her family, but Tabitha Calea Xinyi's arrival presents another new beginning for the Lucas family.

"This baby is her own person. We have always discussed that we want to address each child as if they are an only child. No middle, no bunso and no eldest. Distinct and separate from her sister. Uniquely her. To empower their strengths and live a life of responsibility and love as an individual. As her own person," Feliz wrote. 

Jayjay said welcoming the newest addition in their lives is "by far the best Valentine ever."

"My heart just got a little bit bigger, more room to love," Feliz added.
