Moms Share Gifts They Want To Receive This Christmas Aside From 'Tulog at Pahinga'
  • Let’s admit it. Moms have been most affected by the pandemic. Not being able to go out for me-time, working from home while keeping interruptions at bay, teaching during distance learning while trying to stay on top of everything else is not an easy task.

Since the holidays are coming up, we asked moms in the Smart Parenting Village Facebook group what they would like to gift themselves this year for a job well done. As expected, many moms are happy with having eight hours of sleep, a whole day of rest, a full-body spa or massage, and traveling alone.

While we understand budgets may be tight this year, we still have to emphasize that it’s okay to spend for even a small something for yourself. Below are the gifts moms would like to reward themselves.

    Cleaning appliances

"Gusto kong bumili ng bagong washing machine with dryer. Pagaanina ang buhay nanay." Mommy Eunice

"Xiaomi vacuum cleaner para mabawasan ung sakit ng katawan sa paglilinis ng bahay maghapon." Mommy Rosenelle

    Essential oils

“I wanna gift myself more essential oils para makapag-DIY ng bongga.” Mommy Sakura

    A ukelele

“I want a Ukelele. I wanna share it with Lo kapag mejo lumaki na siya.” Mommy Mel

    Office equipment

“A nice and comfy ergonomic office chair. That would lessen my burden of back pains and will be more productive.” Mommy Tine

“New desktop kasi yung laptop ko super bagal na. Work from home here!” Mommy An

    Skincare and makeup

"Gagaan din siguro ang pakiramdam ko pag may pang-ayos ako. Mas okay yun kasi pag magaan ang pakiramdam mas maayos makaka kilos sa bahay and sa pag aalaga kay baby." Mommy Mylene

    Clothes and shoes

“New blouses and pants. After almost four years, unti-unti ng nabawasan ang weight ko, so maluluwang na ang mga damit ko.” Mommy Jane

“Gusto ko talaga ng comfortable na sandals. Luma na kasi yung dati ko. Malapit na masira.” — Mommy Ai
“I deserved new sets of pambahay and patulog. New sets of undergarments.” Mommy Lisa

    Recommended Videos

“Kapag magschool na ang anak ko next school year, wala na akong makakasam dito sa bahay. At least kung my dog, hindi ko mafi-feel na I am alone during school hours. At gusto din ng mga bata na magkaroon kami ng pet.” Mommy Jamily

“Cguro a ring or necklace na pwede gawin investment. Para meron ako maipamana to my kids in the future.” — Mommy Glazel

“A personalized necklace with all our names in it. Tagal ko nang gusto ng ganun.” Mommy Bave

“Gift ko sa sarili ko ang Breastmilk Keepsake with cord stamp ni bunso & baby tooth ni eldest ko.” Mommy Irene

    A Sewing machine

“Time to revisit an old hobby for some “Me time” and sanity because I don’t think going out is safe yet.” — Mommy Korinne

    Organizing tools

I want to buy my self an electronic labeler, mainly para magawan ko ng name labels ang gamit na aking babies! That would make me happy!” Mommy Jam

“Containers or products to organize clutter. Ever since I got pregnant and until now that I’m a mom, I’ve enjoyed organizing things, though struggle siya with a toddler.” Mommy Rachel

It’s normal for moms to put their kids above themselves. But always remember, self-care is not selfish.
