The Seaside Boulevard in Pasay turned into a winter wonderland from December 15-20 when the Surf Putitap Christmas Village touched down with its stunning IG-worthy light displays and fun wholesome activities for the entire family!
It was free to the public, and the grand culmination on December 20 definitely left everyone feeling the event’s tagline: “May all your Christmases be WHITE and WAIS!” If you missed the festivities, here’s how it went down on the big day.
Family Fun
Catch the Aguinaldo had participants reaching high for floating balloons, while Hunt the Aguinaldo had them diving into a ball pit in search of prizes! There was also a Craft-mas Corner where kids could let their imaginations go wild with unli art supplies and coloring books.
Free stubs for popcorn, ice cream, cotton candy, and food concessionaires were also available to fuel all the fun!
Instagrammable Moments
Aside from the white Christmas aesthetic with no bad angles, there was a Christmas FamTok booth where the young and old alike showed off their dance moves along to the #SurfPutitap jingle.
Putitap Booths
To give visitors lasting tangible mementos, the event featured Putitap booths with DIY Christmas tee-making and a photo area where you could take home a magnetized print–with a special cameo from Pink Santa!
Early Christmas Gifts
There was also excitement in the air because of the raffle prizes up for grabs in three draws.
From a washing machine, a half-year supply of Surf, and a brand new e-bike–it had everyone wishing hard that their name would be picked by Pink Santa!
Festive Performances
The UP Chorale regaled the crowd with Christmas classics while the Pyrolights Manila performers dazzled with their light show and slick moves. A grand finale by none other than Darren Espanto, Asia’s Pop Heartthrob, capped off the festivities on stage.
Surf Putitap Light Show
The event closed with the much-awaited Christmas Tree Lighting–another holiday tradition sparking joy! At 6:30 PM, the lights turn off to showcase the giant Christmas tree and end the night merry, white, and wais!
Beyond the queso de bola and holiday hams, it’s the bonding with your family, being surrounded by other merrymakers, the buzzing energy, and a sense of community–that’s what a true Filipino Christmas is made of! And at the Surf Putitap Christmas Village, people definitely made some lasting memories to cherish for years to come.
