It’s Christmas party season once more, and of course as moms, our child’s parties are by default our responsibility as well (here’s another mental load this season!). This means that class Christmas parties are coming up, which means potluck season!
Class Christmas party potlucks are kind of tricky compared to regular adult potlucks considering the following reasons:
- The food has to be child-friendly, so think of items that your child and his friends love to eat and can easily eat.
- The food should be available for the child to bring to school in the early morning—especially if your child is in the morning session. This means that the food should be available as early as 5 or 6 am.
The food should be safe to consume. Considerations for this include the food’s handling and packaging, and when it was bought. - The food should be easy to procure—especially since most of us here are working moms.
Given these considerations, the Smart Parenting editors have curated a list of potluck options for your child’s Christmas party.
Class Christmas Party Potluck Guide: Where to Get Food for Your Child's Christmas Party
Conti’s (Starts at Php 74 per piece or Php 224 per pack)
Adults and kids alike love Conti’s pastries, so it’s a great option to bring for any potluck party. We suggest getting the cheese rolls, mamon, or cookies, as these are things that most kids love to eat.

Shakey’s (Starts at Php 300+)
If you want to send something more substantial, then you can opt to order from Shakey’s. They offer 24-hour delivery service in select stores across Metro Manila, including Manila, Makati, Quezon City, Pasig, and Taguig, and even several stores in Antipolo and Olongapo. You can opt for a basket of chicken or a party-sized pizza—both of which are a sure hit for kids. You can order via their website or Grab Food.
Jollibee (Starts at Php 449+)
You’ll be hard-pressed to find a child who doesn’t love Jollibee. And the good news is, the bee can deliver 24/7 in select areas, either via their #87000 hotline, website, or even Grab. But it’s still best to check if there’s a 24-hour branch near you or your child’s school. You can opt to send a bucket of Chickenjoy, platters of spaghetti, or palabok, or even separate boxed meals.
Krispy Kreme (Starts at Php 449+)
Another easy potluck option is another kiddie favorite—Krispy Kreme doughnuts! This is another potluck option that you can buy in advance for your child to bring the next day. Although you can also opt to have it delivered to your home a day in advance via their website or Grab Food.
Red Ribbon (Starts at Php 20+ per piece)
Red Ribbon is another easy and affordable option if you want to send pastries to your child’s class party. Their cake, cake rolls, and even cake slices are good options as well to lend a more celebratory mood to the party. You can opt to buy items from their branches, their website, or Grab Food.
Minute Maid juice boxes (Php 95 for a box of 10)
If your child’s class has several proactive parents who took the initiative to ask everyone to list down their potluck contributions a few days before the party to ensure that there will be no duplicates, then you’ll realize that there will be all kinds of main dishes, desserts, and snacks. But hardly any drinks. So why not take it upon yourself to send and serve drinks for the whole class? Juice boxes such as Minute Maid are a good option and are readily available in supermarkets. Just chill the night before the party and your child is good to party.
