  • We've been asking moms to share their party directory with us! Our first is a christening party that the mom wanted to be memorable but straightforward for their second and youngest child.

Diana Cajucom, a mom of two and a businesswoman, wanted her daughter's baptism party to have a shabby chic theme.

"I wanted it to look feminine, so I made sure it had plenty of flowers, but I didn't want it to look formal. I selected the colors like the combination of pink, blue-green, and purple. I incorporated some old wood, and rustic slightly worn furniture to give a little twist."

And as much as she liked to throw parties, Diana didn't want to spend so much. She would always pick one element of the party to splurge on and keep the rest simple (the cake was a gift from friends!). For this party, she decided to spend on good food.

Diana picked this venue because it was near the church. "It is a 300 capacity hall with a high ceiling so decorating became a bit challenging."

Diana found her invitation supplier through Instagram and only had 50 invitations printed. "Some people nowadays don’t even print invites anymore — you can send the invitations via messaging apps — but I still did, because I used it as a remembrance of the event."

A friend of Diana's made the recommendation. "We helped each help each other on the decoration to use, and she covered everything like the background, centerpieces, and welcome standees. I thought it turned out perfectly."
