In an instagram post, Lovely Abella shares her gratitude to guests who came to celebrate their son’s 1st birthday party recently. She writes, “We are so grateful sa mga pumunta, we appreciate your time, effort and love for Liam.” Liam Emmanuel is Lovely’s second child. Her eldest is a teenager, Crisha Kaye.
In the video, Liam entered the venue riding his version of Mario kart, in iconic Super Mario costume of blue overalls and red cap, along with parents who also wore Super Mario costumes. Liam was greeted by family, friends, and celebrities as well.
Among those who attended were Betong Sumaya, Kakai Bautista, Kris Bernal, Archie Alemania, and Chariz Solomon, to name a few. The celebrity couple shares in their son's birthday video that they are very proud that their baby Liam already knows how to walk. “Yung biglaan, yung hindi namin ineexpect, na ngayong mag wa-one year old na s’ya, naglalakad na siya,” Abella exclaims. Manalo, on the other hand, jokingly says, "Nag d-drive and nag mo-motor na din s'ya," to which Abella follows with a boisterous laugh.
On a serious note, however, one of Manalo's proud moments as a father is Liam's morning prayers. The couple mentions that the little boy will put his hands together in prayer every morning.
The event venue was filled with Super Mario-themed balloons in predominant shades of green and red, including "power-up item" balloon or the mushroom character popularly known as Toad. Aside from balloon decorations, they also have the "speed-up item" ornament such as the starman, also known as super star. Hanging coin trinkets were part of the decor, too. Kids wore Super Mario Bros birthday hats. In addition, a claw machine filled with Super Mario plushies was also included in the event. Even the blue birthday cake shown in the video also follows the same theme, which displays Super Mario and Luigi (plus 1-up mushroom) characters as cake toppers.
The Dancer turned CEO ends her Instagram post with “...sa mga nag-stay I hope nag enjoy po mga kids ninyo. Super happy namin na nag-enjoy kayong lahat. May God bless you all.”
The celebrity couple tied the knot on January 23, 2021 and Abella gave birth to Liam on September 15, 2023. Abella conceived Liam after 16 years of waiting.
