  • Family Weekend Itinerary! Where to Go, Eat, and Shop on July 14-16

Unwind and bond with the kids this payday weekend at these family fun places, restaurants, and shops
    by Jillianne E. Castillo .
  • Long work week? Make the most of this payday weekend with some quality family bonding time! Here are a few ideas you can try this July 14 to 16:

    Where to go

If you're looking for a chill and relaxing day out with the kids, head to Blue Bay Walk in Pasay. It's basically a spacious park with eating and shopping establishments surrounding the area. There's even a cat cafe! They rent out go-carts and bikes as well for parents and kids looking to cycle around. Bring a picnic baon too because they lend mats for free so you can sprawl on their lawn.

Take the kids somewhere fun this weekend and head to Kidzoona, an indoor play land. Kidzoona play places have kiddie obstacle courses, inflatables, ball pits and areas for imaginative play -- a feature we love. Here kids can pretend to be sushi chefs, ice cream store owners, bakers, doctors and more. Find a list of Kidzoona locations here. Rates start at P300 for 90 minutes of play for both child and parent.

    Where to eat

You and the kids won't be arguing about where to eat at The Food Hive, a food park along Visayas Avenue in Quezon City. Choose from a selection of inspired food merchants set in a space that's Instagram-worthy. There's chicken wings from Wingfather and the Fry Mafia, Japanese dishes from Hamaru Yakitori & Sushi, Mexican favorites from La Carnita Modern Mexican Cantina and loads more.

Indulge in an extra special dinner and dine at Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila's Spiral. This Friday, July 14, Spiral's chefs will serve a French dinner menu with dishes like Beef Bourguignon and Pan-Seared Foie Gras. A night sky backdrop of fireworks at poolside will top off the evening. It's P3,350 net per person for dinner (worth mentioning: same buffet is P2,650 net per person for lunch on July 14).
