1. Head north and witness the Panagbenga Festival in Baguio City
Give your child a dose of Filipino culture by heading north to the summer capital of the Philippines, Baguio City.  Enjoy floral floats and native dances at the yearly month-long Panagbenga Festival, which is also the city’s largest.

3. Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the EDSA Revolution with the “Handog ng Sining: Parangal kay Cory” art exhibit.
Visit La Salle Greenhills until March 10, Thursday, for remembrances of Cory Aquino and the EDSA Revolution.

4. Meet writer Russel Molina and read about the life of Dr. Fe del Mundo.
Museo Pambata’s Book on the Spot: Lub-Dub, Lub-Dub, 10 a.m., this February 26, Saturday, features the book by Russell Molina, illustrated by Jomike Tejido, and published by Bookmark Publishing. Dr. del Mundo was the founder of the first Philippine pediatric hospital.


5. Listen to some of the country’s most talented symphony orchestras and conservatories as they perform Philippine melodies in the 27th “Sampung Mga Daliri atbp.”
This February 27, Sunday, celebrate your being Filipino and enjoy music at its best as performed by Symphony Orchestra, Symphony Band, Jazz Band, Rondalla, Guitar Ensemble, E-mundo Ethnic Ensemble, Vocal Ensemble, and choruses.

6. Tickle your tastebuds at the 10th Philippine Food Expo at the World Trade Center.
On its 10th year, check out the 10th Philippine Food Expo as it brings together some of the country’s biggest food manufacturers and exporters at the World Trade Center. The expo will run from February 24 to 27, Sunday.

7. Watch the Korean children’s choir Yaenouel perform in Makati.
For the benefit of the Philippine Angels Foundation, the award-winning Korean children’s choir Yaenouel will be performing in a live concert in Manila, at the Francisco Santiago Hall BDO South Tower, De La Costa cor. Makati Ave., Makati City this Friday, February 25, at 7 p.m.. The choir will be conducted by Maestro  Joon Lee and YoungSang Hong.

8. View EDSA Revolution commemorative items and enjoy performances from Karylle and Spongecola.
This day until February 25, Friday, Glorietta will be holding an exhibit of a collection of commemorative items from Bench, Swatch, National Bookstore and Bayo at the Glorietta 5 Atrium. This will be followed by live performances from Karylle and Spongecola for the Freedom Concert, to be held at the Glorietta 4 Park, at 6 p.m.

9. See a commemorative exhibit in memory of EDSA with “Revolution Revisited” by Kim Komenich.
Kim Komenich is an American photojournalist who won the 1987 Pulitzer Prize for Sports News Photography. His works on EDSA will be displayed at the Ayala Museum from today until March 5, Saturday.

10. Enjoy artworks of bird forms, incorporated with poetry, light boxes and collages by Marc Gaba, featured in his exhibit “Birdsounds.”
Marc Gaba is a visual artist and poet, with an MFA in Creative Writing from the Iowa Writers' Workshop. He is a 1998 Palanca awardee and has won a Boston Review Poetry Contest in 2006. Catch the exhibit from February 26, Saturday, until March 14, Monday.
