  • Walk for Down Syndrome

    Celebrate National Down Syndrome Consciousness  Month with Happy Walk, an annual advocacy event by the Down Syndrome Association of the Philippines, Inc. and SM Cares. Join the fun this Sunday, February 19 at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay. Registration starts at 7 a.m. and program ends at 4 p.m. Participation fee is P50. The event is free for persons with Down Syndrome.

    Spend a day with pets

    Take your furry friend out for a day of fun at the Spetacular Event just for pets. There will be grooming stations, pet treats, vet consultation sessions, games, a petting station, and raffle prizes. The event is happening this Sunday, February 19, at SM City Bacoor, Cavite. To participate, present a P1,500-worth single receipt from any store at SM City Bacoor

    Attend workshops for new parents


    Expecting a little bundle of joy soon? Manila Workshops is hosting First Time Parents classes this weekend. They're happening this Saturday, February 18, with the morning sessions tackling breastfeeding and the afternoon session about toddler care and nutrition. The venue is at The Parenting Emporium, #29 1st St., New Manila, Quezon City. Participation fee is P600 per session. More details and registration here

    Sign up yaya for a workshop

    Show your child’s nanny the importance of her job by registering her for The Learning Basket's Teacher Yaya: A Workshop for Your Assistant. She’ll learn how to better care for your children, how to respond and play with her alaga, that tablets and TV are not good for kids below three years old, and more. The event is happening on Saturday, February 18 at Playworks Makati. Participation fee for walk-ins is P750.     Watch a concert

    Fan of musicals? You wouldn’t want to miss Lea Salonga perform this weekend! Songs from the Stage is happening on Friday, February 17 and Saturday February 18, at PICC Plenary Hall, Pasay. Guest performers for both nights include Jett Pangan, Esang De Torres, and Wayneheart Claire Geonzon.  Ticket prices start at P1,045. Get them at TicketWorld outlets or online

    Visit a children’s museum 

    A couple of things happening at Museo Pambata this weekend. On Saturday, February 18 at 10 a.m., the Bayanihan Philippine National Dance Company will be giving a special performance, and later in the day at 2 p.m. is the Haraya Storytelling Hour featuring favorite Filipino children stories. On Sunday, February 19 at 2:30 p.m. kids get to make door markers with the museum's friendly guides. Museo Pambata is located at Roxas Boulevard corner South Drive, Manila.
