Family Weekender Guide: Where to Go, Eat, and Shop on February 2 to 4

Just in case you needed a reminder, it’s payday weekend! Make the most out of it by treating the whole fam to fun-filled activities and a little shopping on the side (there are a lot of end-of-season sales, after all!). Here’s everything you can do this weekend:

Create and Build Minecraft Edition

If your kids are into science, start the weekend with a fun, educational activity at Shangrila at the Fort Adventure Zone. Their one-hour Create & Build session will provide a hands-on learning experience using different Lego toys to boost problem-solving, organization, and social and emotional skills. Kids get to explore the concepts of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math and will get to exercise their imagination and creativity as they learn how different things work. Create & Build happens every Friday of February and is open to Adventure Zone members ages 4 to 12 years old. Science Circus

Mind Museum’s traveling exhibition is making a stop at Alabang Town Center! Take your kids to three interactive exhibits and marvel at the amazing illusions, puzzles, and brain teasers. Get a free ticket when you purchase a Cinema gift card for P270 at the Activity Center Booth until February 7, 2018. Make sure to head there early because slots are limited per schedule!

Grolier Fair

 

Head to Robinsons Metro East on February 3-4 and let your kids enjoy this free fair by Amazing Kids Interactive Center where kids can get a free book and giveaways, plus a chance to win more prizes at the raffle! Apart from the drawing and reading corner, kids can join story time activities, play at the bouncing castle and with Morphun toys, collect balloon animals, and have a dance-off with Clifford, the Big Red Dog!

A new dog park and café recently opened at Eastwood Mall! Take the whole fam plus your furry babies—they’ll get to enjoy some playtime with fellow doggos while their humans enjoy comfort food! Let your pets dive into the ball pit (masters are allowed inside, too!), take them through the agility course, and have them groomed all in one place!

Cafe Mermania

Marikina has become a haven for food enthusiasts, but this new mermaid-themed café will surely tickle your child’s fancy! Apart from its Instagram-friendly interior, they also serve kid-friendly snacks like crepes, truffle mac & cheese, and hand-crafted rolled ice cream! Parents can opt for the entrees like buffalo wings and chicken teriyaki. They offer coffee, too, of course! Visit Cafe Mermania at 5 General Ordonez St., Marikina City. Store hours are 1 to 7 p.m.
