Experts say that parents should raise their kids to be entrepreneurs, and not employees. With the technological advancements, some jobs like office and administrative positions will become obsolete and outdated. The future, they said, belongs to people who are "creators, big-picture thinkers, empathizers, and meaning-makers."
That's why organizations and companies these days are spearheading initiatives and programs that promote entrepreneurial skills to kids. One of the newest programs is Kidpreneurs Unleashed: Small Steps, Big Dreams, which was designed to empower and nurture the entrepreneurial spirit among children.

Why it is important to teach entrepreneurship to kids
Primary House Manila is the implementing partner of Kidpreneurs Unleashed. According to its school head, Phi Anh T. De Castro, MAP, LPT, it's important to teach and expose children to entrepreneurial concepts and skills as early as possible.
"The concept of Earn, Save, Spend, Donate. I think those are very important things that we need to teach our kids now." —Phi Anh T. De Castro, MAP, LPT
"We always start with the concept of financial literacy. The concept of Earn, Save, Spend, Donate. I think those are very important things that we need to teach our kids now, especially our kids are blessed with so many blessings. We have to explain to them that before we buy toys that they like, or things that they want, they have to earn first. And that's how their parents are able to provide for their children," she told Smart Parenting.
"If they [children] will not appreciate the value of earning and working, they won't be able to appreciate also the blessings they receive. So it goes hand-in-hand with appreciation, gratitude, being able to save and share the blessings they have also. To wit, it's not only the selling and earning, but there are other values that are very important also."
Primary House Manila has been running the entrepreneurship program for two years now, and it's one of the most-loved and requested by parents. She explained, "Parents feel the need for it to learn the value of earning, saving and spending."
That's why they designed the program to be fun, interactive, and engaging for both kids and parents, and the bazaar is one way to teach the kids to have grit and determination—which are qualities of a future entrepreneur.
The Kidpreneurs Unleashed: Small Steps, Big Dreams Bazaar will run from April 27 to 28, 10 AM to 5 PM, at the Entrep Corner, Level 4 of Robinsons Galleria, Quezon City. For more details, check out its Facebook or Instagram.
