  • Whether you’ve just seen Avengers: Endgame or you’re about to catch it in your favorite cinema with the family, you’ll need a moment to recover from the emotional and thrilling scenes. Complete your superhero experience by booking a stay in a comfy condo unit in the city, surrounded by well-loved superheroes like Captain America, Spider-Man, and Iron Man.

Sky Suites PH, an accommodation provider known for its themed suites that take inspiration from books and movies, recently unveiled its Marvel-inspired condo unit in Bonifacio Global City. Instead of offering guests an ordinary space with basic amenities, they take it to the next level by transporting them to another world. Aside from the Marvel unit, they also have Harry Potter- and Star Wars-inspired suites in Tagaytay.

The unit measures 36sqm and has a sleeping space, a living area, a compact dining nook, a kitchen, and a bathroom to ensure the relaxing stay of the guests. “The unit can comfortably accommodate four adults or a family of five, with two adults and three children. There is a full-sized bed and a queen-sized sofa bed. We’ve also provided an extra sleeping mattress for kids who want to camp out by the living area,” says Jade Ceres-Munoz, marketing director of Sky Suites PH.

How much does it cost to rent the Marvel-inspired Airbnb

The unit can be rented for Php4, 500 per night, but for a limited time, Sky Suites PH is offering an introductory promo of Php3, 500 per night with free use of parking space. Guests can book a stay via Airbnb. Take a tour of the child-friendly condo unit below:

The condo unit takes inspiration from the comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. “Marvel, both comics and cinematic, have been a big part of our lives growing up. Our love and respect for this universe have spanned generations and we just want to make sure that the passion lives on with our kids and future grandchildren. We have introduced comic books to our kids as early as three-years-old and they already know a ton of Marvel characters,” Jade shares.

Colors like black, red, and white dominate the striking Avengers mural that livens up the wall near the main door.

Several of the unit’s features showcase the artistry of many Filipino artists who hand-painted, sculpted, or airbrushed some of the captivating décor on display.

One of the living area’s main attractions is the life-size sculpture of Spider-Man that was commissioned a month in advance before the renovation of the unit started. “This is a legacy piece from the Asilo family. Sadly, Jun Asilo (renowned sculptor artist) passed away a few months ago. This was one of the last pieces from his hand-sculpted Spider-Man mold. The paint work was done by his son, Greg,” says Jade.

“Excelsior!” refers to comic book writer Stan Lee’s famous catchphrase. Guests can stay in the living area and make the most of the free Wi-Fi access and Netflix available.

The Marvel unit has its own kitchen, allowing the guests to prepare and cook their own meals. It has a microwave, a four-burner stove with an electric oven, a rice cooker, and a refrigerator, too.

A few steps from the kitchen is the dining area for four. Look closely at the table and marvel at the image of Baby Groot sprucing it up.

Calling it a day? Dose off and let the Avengers watch over you as you sleep. In this part of the unit, there’s a shelf that showcases Marvel memorabilia, toys, and even masks. Can guests play with them? “Sky Suites PH will always be family- and child-friendly. We have young children in our family and we test out the unit with them first. We want them to able to interact with the unit so the masks, costumes, and toys are meant for playing.

Some of the decals and customized items were ordered ahead of time to keep within the renovation timeline.

“We do have more expensive items, like the life-sized Spider-Man, which we decided to mount on the wall so guests can take pictures with it, but within a safe distance. We also ask our guests to treat the merchandise with care,” Jade explains.

The bathroom walls are alive – with pages from comic books adding color to the space. There’s a freestanding shelf with fresh towels, toiletries, and other essentials.

The walls of the bathroom are spray-painted with logos of the characters associated with Marvel as well.
