Pinay Mom Turns Your Child's Drawings Into Beautiful Necklaces! She has already received a lot of orders from parents looking to preserve treasured moments and memories.
One of the most treasured keepsake of a parent is their child’s drawing, especially if it’s a drawing of mom or dad.
Pinay mom Karen Ayala’s 2-year-old daughter Kali started drawing when she was a year old. Most of the time Kali would make random doodles, “but there was this particular moment when she accidentally drew something that looked exactly like a butterfly. She shouted and said ‘Butterfly, Mama!’ and my heart melted,” Karen tells SmartParenting.com.ph.
Karen loved the butterfly drawing so much that she had it made into a pendant she can wear as a necklace. “When I got the necklace, I wanted to cry! Kali saw the necklace too and immediately recognized that it was her drawing. She loved it so much she didn't take it off for two whole days!”

That’s when Karen realized that other moms would like to experience the same joy she did -- thus, Bubba Doodles was born! Here, your child’s drawing is turned into jewelry – a wearable keepsake that’s kept close to your heart.
“We keep our kids' drawings already. It was only a matter of making those drawings more timeless and meaningful,” says Karen. Utterly unique and expertly crafted, each piece is a treasure that you’ll never want to take off.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWCONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended Videos
The shop comes from Kali’s nickname, Bubba. The little tot was the drive and inspiration of Bubba Doodles, launched just this February 2017 and already receiving quite the buzz. Celeb mom Patty Laurel was a more-than-satisfied happy customer!
They’ve gotten quite a few memorable requests as well. A necklace has been made from a child with autism’s drawing of his mom, and another of an only grandchild’s drawing of her lolo who has recently passed away. “We’ve received a lot of orders from different parents. Another of our favorites was a dad who ordered one as a surprise birthday gift for his wife.”ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

What’s another thing that’s special about Bubble Doodles’ necklaces? Every keepsake is handmade. Once a photo of the drawing has been received, the order is sent off to crafters who create layout patterns out of the doodles and manually engrave each one.
“From cutting of the materials to actual engraving, we believe that doing it handmade puts a more personal touch and justice to the adorable drawings of the kids,” the mom explains. The team works closely with every parent too, so you know that the final product will turn out beautiful and special to you and your child.
Karen shares that they’ve heard stories of kids that, upon seeing their drawings-turned-jewelry, take full ownership of the necklaces -- hijacking them from their moms for as long as days! How cute is that?
Bubba Doodles doesn’t just transform your child’s doodles into necklaces. They also make bracelets and keychains, all of which are made of high quality stainless steel. It’s your choice if you want a gold or silver finish. Karen assures us that their keepsakes are able to withstand tarnishing, meaning you can wear your necklace every day and it will retain its shine. It’s also compatible for those with sensitive skin. “For those asking, we can also do it in real gold or silver,” says Karen.
Like any work of art, each piece takes time to make. “Every order is different that is why we would need about 2 to 3 weeks to recreate the kids' masterpieces,” says Karen. So if you’re planning to give one away to a loved one (just like the dad above), place your request weeks in advance. When we asked if Karen has turned any more of Kali’s doodles into necklaces, she answered, “Yes, of course! And I’m planning to have more of her doodles made for her lolos and lolas!”
