On November 29, 2024, the resort held its much-anticipated Christmas Tree Lighting and Thanksgiving Celebration. The night was unforgettable for the 300 attendees, who were immersed in the Christmas and holiday spirit. Cordova Mayor Cesar “Didoy” Suan, Vice Mayor Victor Tago III, Solea Mactan Resort Sales Director Pamela Larase, Managing Director Christopher Gothong, Operations Director Joana Abangan, and F&B Director Jack Beierly were present at the event.
The giant Christmas tree adorned with candy canes, lollipops, and sweets lit up the resort, symbolizing the beginning of a fun-filled night.

The Christmas tree is an important symbol of Christmas. As soon as it is lit up, everyone begins to feel that Christmas is just around the corner. Solea Mactan Resort’s Christmas Tree is not only filled with sweets and candies, but also with the traditional Filipino parol.
The resort’s pathways were filled with nutcrackers, gifts, candies, and blue and pink arches. It’s like stepping into a whimsical and magical resort! The Candyland-inspired setting complete with dazzling lights and colorful candy canes created an unforgettable backdrop for the most wonderful time of the year. The night was not complete without entertainment, and guests were all in awe of live performers all around the resort. And of course, the Candyland resort turned into a real Candyland because of the overflowing sweets for everyone. There was a delicious spread of sweets including donuts, macarons, chocolates, and marshmallows enjoyed by the kids and the kids-at-heart. As a final touch to the festive celebration, the night ended with a magical fireworks display.
The Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony was also a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas.
