• Coming Soon: 6 More Disney Movies to Love in 2018

  • Looks like absolutely everyone flocked to the cinema to see Avengers: Infinity War -- it scored the biggest global opening in history! And, there’s more good news for movie-going families. With more Disney films set to premiere this year, we’ve already got our calendars marked (and our budgets allotted!). Here are the six confirmed Disney movies that are still to come in 2018: 

    1. Solo: A Star Wars Story
    May 2018



    As you've guessed from the title, this film is all about Han Solo and his early days before Luke and Leia. It's an all-new adventure and one that includes seeing how the Solo's friendship with future copilot Chewbacca started.   

    Cast: Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo), Woody Harrelson (Beckett), Emilia Clarke (Qi'ra), Donald Glover (Lando Calrissian), Thandie Newton (Val), Phoebe Waller-Bridge (L3-37), and Joonas Suotamo (Chewbacca)

    2. Incredibles 2
    June 2018



    Would you believe it's been 14 years since Incredibles came out? Incredibles 2 brings back the beloved family of superheroes! This time though, Helen (a.k.a. Elastigirl) takes on the role of working mom and is tasked with saving the world. Bob Parr (a.k.a. Mr. Incredible) is assigned stay-at-home dad. Watch him juggle housekeeping and caring for kids Violet, Dash and adorable Jack-Jack.

    3. Christopher Robin
    August 2018



    Meet Christopher Robin, a working-class family man. Yup, he's grown older, and a lot wearier too. Worried and by himself sitting on a park bench one day, who is he to see once again but an old childhood friend -- Pooh. It's a movie set on warming the cockles of your heart. (Pooh is as lovable and huggable as ever!)

    4. The Nutcracker and the Four Realms
    November 2018



    A live-action adaptation of the novella and ballet, The Nutcracker is a movie about Clara and the strange world she just stumbled into. In this fantastical realm (that's a visual feast), she encounters a soldier named Phillip, a gang of mice, and tyrant Mother Ginger, among others. 

    Cast: Mackenzie Foy (Clara), Helen Mirren (Mother Ginger), Morgan Freeman (Drosselmeyer) and Keira Knightly (The Sugarplum Fairy) 

    5. Ralph Breaks The Internet: Wreck-It Ralph 2
    November 2018



    Ready for an upgrade? Ralph and Vanellope von Schweetz are leaving the arcade behind and venturing into the world wide web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope's video game, Sugar Rush. Judging by the trailer, it's just as fun and funny, or even more so, than the first.

    6. Mary Poppins Returns
    December 2018



    She's back! The story will follow Jane and Michael Banks, now grown-up, along with Michael's three kids. After a personal tragedy, the Banks family is visited by Mary Poppins and Jack, a street lamplighter, to help them rediscover the joys in life.

    Cast: Emily Blunt (Mary Poppins), Emily Mortimer (Jane Banks), Julie Walters (Ellen), Colin Firth (William Weatherall Wilkins), and Meryl Streep (Topsy)
