We're Definitely Copying This Mom's Matchy-Matchy Photos!

Moms know how difficult it is to take a decent photo with the kids. We can only dream that everyone is looking at the camera with a bit of smile. So we look at the photos of UK-based blogger and mom Dominique Davis and her two daughters, Amelia, age 10, and Penny, 3  with awe. The mom has found a simple, easy to achieve and yet absolutely charming way to take family photos. They're all wearing matching outfits with a white wall behind them (sometimes it becomes a brick wall or greenery). 

Dominique posts her photos on her Instagram account, @allthatisshe, with the hashtag #allthatisthree. She tells Bored Panda, “The #allthatisthree photos came about by chance. One morning, I’d unintentionally dressed myself and Penny in matching striped tops, then Amelia emerged from her bedroom wearing one, too. We’d laughed about it and when I was struggling for an image idea later that day, we thought we’d share our joke with everyone else.”

With near 400,000 followers on Instagram, many are definitely more than happy that she shared their family’s three-ning (one up from twinning!) photos. We love that in each one her youngest little one adds a level of quirky charm to the snaps too!

1. Imagine the mess this left! The photo is so worth it though.

I realised last week that we'd missed the one year mark of our #allthatisthree series (I thought it had started in July when actually it was in June). So, here's our one year anniversary post (a whole 6 weeks late). Happy birthday #allthatisthree! 🎉🎈 I wonder; can we go for another year? What will the next year of images look like? And how long until my bed is free of glitter stars? 😂

2. Very mod chic!

Inspired by Penny's newfound love for The Beatles and Penny Lane (or Penny Jane in this house). And although Amelia isn't fussed on 60s music, and rolls her eyes every time we play it (for the millionth time), she had no objections to the 60s wardrobe. #allthatisthree

3. Can you say “supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”?

After last week's 'supercalifragilisticexpialidocious' post, the pressure was on this week. Will we ever top that one? Probably not. But, we'll certainly give it a go. Milk in my tea, and just 'a spoonful of sugar' for the girls (seeing how many Mary Poppins puns can I fit into one caption 😂) #allthatisthree

4. This makes us want matching top-and-bottom pajamas with the kids.

Breakfast together, still lounging in your pyjamas at 11 am, lie ins (well, if it's your turn to lie in that is), and #allthatisthree, that's what Sunday's are all about.

5. All you need to recreate this one are matching flannel shirts (don't forget the messy top bun!)

Sometimes you need a few days away. A few days spent with messy hair, in comfy clothes, eating food, riding bikes, and away from your phone (only dropping in to post an #allthatisthree 😉). 9. Penny is absolutely adorable as usual.

Yesterday, while in Liverpool city centre, we saw girls shopping with rollers in their hair (commitment to voluminous hair here is strong 💪🏻💁🏻). Being the daughter of a hairdresser, hair rollers would give me hours of entertainment as a kid. Rolling up my hair, my doll's hair, my friend's hair, my dog's hair - usually resulting in a tangled mess 🙈. The hairdressing flair obviously didn't pass down to me. What weird items did you find entertainment in as a child? #allthatisthree

11. “Penny is not impressed.”

I must, I must, stop dressing like my daughters 🙈. Penny is not impressed. We really don't want to complain about this crazy heat, but I'm sure there's an old wives tale that says we Northerners melt in temperatures this high 😉☀️☀️☀️☀️ #allthatisthree
