Weekend To-Do Bonding: Time Travel With “Mr. Peabody & Sherman”There are fun adventures to be had when you join dog-father-and-son time-travelers, Mr. Peabody & Sherman.
Want to do some time traveling this weekend? You don’t need to build your own time machine for that. Hit the cinemas and be part of the adventures of “Mr. Peabody & Sherman” in 3D!
This movie isn’t just about time travel though; it also tackles the parenting challenges of Mr. Peabody. See, Mr. Peabody is a business titan, inventor, scientist, Nobel Laureate, gourmand, two-time Olympic medalist and genius. When he adopted Sherman, the smartest talking dog also became a father. But can a canine raise a human boy as his son?ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
In DreamWorks Animation’s “Mr. Peabody & Sherman” (3D), the answer is a definite yes! And yet taking care of a curious boy with a thirst for adventure could spell trouble. Especially when Sherman (Max Charles) and his enemy-turned-friend Penny (Ariel Winter) tinker with Mr. Peabody’s invention, a machine called WABAC (pronounced as “way back”). Sherman and Penny transport themselves to ancient Egypt and when they get stuck in the land of pharaohs, Mr. Peabody must save the day.CONTINUE READING BELOWRecommended VideosADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
But traveling through time without care could change history as we know it and with the havoc wreaked by Sherman and Penny, Mr. Peabody must time-travel with them to correct what has been done. Or else they forever alter the past, present, and future!
It seems Mr. Peabody has got his hands full. Not only is he now looking after Sherman, there’s Penny too. “Fellow moms and dads, I must confess: Before I adopted my son Sherman I thought raising a human child would be a breeze. After cracking the secret of time travel, how hard could it be? But it turns out that parenting is much, much more difficult than building a time machine." Even if he’s a certified genius, Mr. Peabody has a thing or two to learn after all.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
In the end, Mr. Peabody is like any other parent, figuring things out as they go along. “Like most people, I’m relying on trial and error, together with my animal instincts. If a wolf managed to raise the boy who founded Rome, I reckon I’m in with a chance.” You go, Mr. Peabody! Sherman (and even Penny) would be so proud.
“Mr. Peabody & Sherman” 3D will open March 6 in theaters from 20th Century Fox, to be distributed by Warner Bros. Learn more about Mr. Peabody, Sherman, and Penny at their localized site. Check out the film’s localized site here for videos, mobile apps and lots of games and downloadable fun stuff.
