Oftentimes, parents feel overwhelmed by the repeated “Ano’ng ulam mamaya?” questions throughout the day.

It’s breakfast, lunch, then dinner. The cycle goes on. Once you add kids’ baon into the mix, things get stressful fast.

“What should I pack today, and the day after, and the next days coming, that will make my child full and nourished?” we ask ourselves daily. Sometimes the challenge is, “Will my child even eat or drink this?” Even when we add new food items to their lunchboxes, we are not sure whether they will like them.

Smart Parenting asked moms from the Smart Parenting Village to put a new kids’ drink to the test to see if it passes as a baon favorite.

When Smart Parenting sent these moms an unbranded chocolate drink to try, they didn’t know it was Monde Nuvi Chocolate Milk Drink with Chewy Jelly Bits. Is it kid-approved? Pwede bang pang-baon?

Here’s what they said:

How Does It Taste?

Kids loved the familiar chocolatey taste. Many asked for more right away. Some liked it so much they finished the entire pack.

Naessah Verano shared her 7-year-old son’s reaction, “Not too sweet, and he enjoyed the jelly bits.” Honey Grace Rodriguez-Ang’s 5-year-old son agreed, “He likes the taste of it and the jelly part.”

Are the Chewy Jelly Bits a Hit or a Miss?

Monde Nuvi Chocolate Milk Drink with Chewy Jelly Bits comes with a twist: chewy, jelly bits.

Ten out of twenty moms said their kids loved the added texture. The jelly bits made the drink more fun and interesting. Since most chocolate drinks do not include jelly bits, some kids were surprised.

Ma. Cecilia Balais’ shared her four-year-old son’s reaction, “What is this, mommy?” Maybe he was confused when he sipped something else inside his chocolate drink, but he still liked it and finished the pack.

The verdict: Yes, the jelly bits boosted the fun and appeal. Fifteen out of twenty moms agreed the jelly bits are a hit.

Is It a Nutritious Baon Option?

Another key factor when choosing a kid’s baon is nutrition. Monde Nuvi Chocolate Milk Drink with Chewy Jelly Bits includes Nuvi Grow, a science-backed technology that supports growth with phosphorus, zinc, calcium, and vitamins A and D.

Moms shared what they look for in kids’ drinks: nutrition, low sugar content, and taste or child preference.

Because of the jelly bits, some moms see the drink as both a snack and a beverage. Eleven moms said the jelly bits make it substantial and filling. Others felt it works as both, since it is fun and also a bit satisfying.

When asked if Monde Nuvi can be a nutritious option for their child, seven moms answered yes, because of its vitamins and minerals. Others mentioned concerns about the sugar content.

The moms and kids say yes. Seventeen out of twenty moms said they would buy Monde Nuvi Chocolate Milk Drink with Chewy Jelly Bits regularly or occasionally after trying it.

Nina Conde, mom of a four-year-old, shared, “I always consider if my kid loves the drink and if she will finish it.” Eight moms think Monde Nuvi is filling enough to be the main snack, while ten moms said it works well as a treat alongside another snack.

“The jelly bits make a difference,” said Naessah. Nina added, “It has a playful texture. Kids are having fun chewing jelly bits instead of sipping a usual chocolate drink.”

When asked to describe Monde Nuvi, moms chose: Fun, Nutritious, and Satisfying.
