  • One of our staff remembers how she and the rest of her family would squirrel away to their bedrooms when they hear her mom screaming, "What happened to the bathroom?!" Well, we can guess — the bathroom can get all kinds of messy from so much daily use. But it's the clutter that makes a bathroom look like it always needs a major cleaning every day. The key to making your T&B look always clean and orderly is smart storage units (with a little bit of attention to a few details).

    Tiered organizer

To avoid unnecessary clutter on your countertops or around your sink, a tiered organizer can be beneficial. It can be used to store makeup and skincare products, toothbrushes, cotton buds, and other items that you use regularly.

    Trays

If you don’t have too many essentials you keep on your bathroom countertops, you can use a tray to store them in one place. Aside from those items, you can also accessorize your tray with cute decorative pieces.

    Clear jars and containers

Clear containers are perfect for holding small items like cotton buds and cotton balls, and you can even transfer shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and liquid soap into them, to help reduce your waste at home. Take it a step further and give each container a label to help you distinguish them easily.

If you and your kids regularly use bobby pins, hair ties, and other small hair accessories regularly, a small container can also be used to store them, especially considering how easily these items can get lost.

    Baskets and bins

These versatile items are great for organizing any room in the home, including the bathroom. You can use baskets or bins to separate a group of products and tools dedicated for a single purpose from products and tools dedicated from other purposes; for example, one basket can hold skincare products, another can hold bath essentials, and another can hold extra bath and hand towels.

    Rolling carts

Another versatile storage unit, a rolling cart provides lots of space to store any sort of item or product you may need in the bathroom, including bulkier equipment like flat irons and hair blow-dryers.

    Drawer dividers

Are your bathroom drawers full of random junk? A drawer divider can be used to organize the essentials you keep inside your drawers (the ones you actually use when you’re in the bathroom). As for other items, you can either store them elsewhere or dispose of them.

    Shelves

Vertical storage is always a good idea. Whether you bring in an open shelving unit or install floating shelves, you instantly get plenty of space to keep a variety of bathroom essentials, from extra linens to shampoo, conditioner, and lotion bottles, to stacks of magazines.

    Shower caddies

Shower caddies are great for keeping bath products in easy reach, so you won’t have to reach out of the shower or bath area for your shampoo.

    Color-coding

Who wouldn't want to look at a color-coded bathroom? The great thing about this method is that it also allows your family to stay organized, so that each person only uses items of the color assigned to them, instead of things for another member of the family.

    Cabinets

Cabinets are not just for living rooms or bedrooms; they can also be kept in bathrooms if you have enough space. These storage units are great for storing all sorts of bathroom essentials.
