We moms are used to the conventional way of prepping bell peppers for cooking, which is, wash the pepper, cut it in half vertically, then remove the stem, calyx (the base of the stem) and seeds, either with a knife or using your hands.
There's an easier way of doing it, apparently, and it can be done in only 4 steps:
First, cut the bottom of the pepper horizontally.

Next, with the bell pepper upright, slice through one side while avoiding the calyx.
Do the same with the two remaining sides, and you're done!
