When would be the “right time” to let go of your yaya?

Your child should never be dependent on her yaya. Therefore, it is safe to “let go” as soon as your child is able to fend for herself (bathing, dressing up or feeding). Having a yaya around for more than the necessary period may foster overdependence and hamper self-reliance.
