You can never go wrong with adorable dogs and kids — everybody loves them. Put them together, and you’ve got cuteness overload, whether it’s funny or just heartwarming such as the meet-up described below. It’s also for a good cause: to promote love for reading.
Some lovable police dogs kept readers company at the San Bernardino Public Library, in California, on March 1, ahead of the Read Across America initiative of the U.S. National Education Association (NEA) on March 2, 2018.
Read Across America is a nationwide celebration of reading, held on the birthday of iconic children’s author, Dr. Seuss. The author is behind beloved children's books such as The Cat In The Hat, Green Eggs and Ham, Horton Hears A Who, The Lorax, and more.
The library welcomed two large dogs, K9 Lupe and K9 Dozer, to keep kids company while they read books. Both the dogs and the children appeared to be enjoying the companionship.

One girl who participated in the event looked like she’ll definitely miss having a dog beside her. She didn’t want to say goodbye and kept cuddling him. Awww.
