Star City was also notably a popular destination during the Christmas season. This year, however, it won’t be open for eager visitors.
Mommy Christiana Singcuenco wrote that her first visit to the amusement park was during a field trip when she was in Grade 4. “Sobrang saya ko, hindi ko alam kung ano uunahin kong puntahan. Hanggang sa every year nung grade school pa ako niyayaya ko father ko na pumunta kami doon, malaking part din ito ng childhood ko.”

Mommy Caren Clariza Cortez shared, “I used to frequent Star City nung summer of 2007 because I was then an intern sa Yes! FM na nasa tabi lang ng Star City. During my younger years naman, sinasama ako ng mga tita ko diyan tuwing Christmas. Precious memories with my cousins were built there. Tapos my then boyfriend now husband dated din diyan once with his younger brother.”
For some moms, Star City played a memorable role in their relationships with their partners. “First official date namin ni hubby nung [mag-boyfriend and girlfriend diyan] sa Star City,” said Mommy Mary Rose Ramos Parane.
Meanwhile, Mommy Pearl Villanueva Noynay commented, “Part ng childhood, part ng lovelife. Hoping to be part of family life. See you on 2020!”
Even though the park will be closed for a year, there is still something for us to look forward to: ABS-CBN News reports that according to Star City spokesperson Rudolph Jularbal, the park might reopen in 2020. Fingers crossed we’ll be able to visit this beloved amusement park sometime in the future!
