5 Father’s Day Ideas for Moms

Moms have the toughest jobs in the world but we usually get more praise and attention for what we do as opposed to our partners. Oftentimes, fathers don’t nearly get enough credit for being fathers. Here are some special ways you can make Father’s Day extra special for your husband.

1. Make it HIS day.

Do whatever he wants you to do. If he wants you guys to hang out at his favorite hobby store, GO. If he wants to go out of town, GO. If he wants to eat at that restaurant you all hate, GO. If he wants to just laze around at home, GO. Whatever daddy wants, daddy gets on Father’s Day.

Brownie points: Make a special “Father’s Day Gift Certificate” that has something like “This entitles the bearer (insert name of dad here) to one full day of (insert his favorite past time with the family here). Style it after an actual GC for more authenticity. You can play with Photoshop to include photos or special graphics, ask help from the kids! Don’t forget to sign the gift certificate after printing it out.

2. Be cheesy. And do it online!

A little note that says “Top 10 reasons why (insert name of dad here) is the best dad in the world” followed by a list of top 10 reasons that you and the kids come up with. Post it on Facebook for the whole world to see!

Thanks to digicams, we can take all the photos we want and just look at them on our computers. How about printing one very nice family photo and putting it in a nice frame for dad?

Brownie points: Personalize it some more. How about having the photo printed on a mug so that dad can see his kids whenever he drinks his coffee? Almost all printing studios also offer this service nowadays.

It’s true what they say, “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”. Get him his favorite food and surprise him with it.

Brownie points: Slave away in the kitchen yourself. Even if it doesn’t come out perfect, your man will appreciate all the effort you put into your creation.

5. A special number.

Ask your kids to plan something special for dad (if they still haven’t). If your child is into writing, how about a poem? Or if he’s an artist, an awesome caricature of Super Dad. Or for the little ones, help them make a nice homemade card for daddy.
