Camille Prats was prepared to be a single mom to Nathan, who is 10 years old now, after her husband, Anthony Linsangan, died in 2011. But, as fate would have it, the 32-year-old actress unexpectedly met someone from her past, who would sweep her off her feet and make her believe in love again.
And, so in January 2017, Camille tied the knot with businessman John “VJ” Yambao, who has a son, Isaiah, from a previous relationship. Eight months later, Camille gave birth to their daughter, Nala Camille.
Camille said after her husband's death, she didn't think she'd be in a relationship again, more so to be married for the second time.

When asked if she feels VJ is her “forever,” the actress replies, “Oo, siya talaga ‘yon.”
“Siguro yung mga bagay na hindi mo naman kagustuhan mangyari, pero siguro sa bawat tao, may mga plano ang Diyos sa bawat isa na kahit tayo, hindi natin alam na yun pala ang gusto Niya para sa atin.
“And that’s exactly how I felt with VJ,” she explains at the press conference of her ongoing GMA-7 teleserye Ang Forever Ko’y Ikaw last March 1.
“I didn't see it coming,” she continues. “Honestly, nung kami na lang ni Nathan, I didn’t have any plans of being in a relationship again, parang okay na rin ako na kaming dalawa lang, pero siguro may mas magandang plano ang Diyos para sa akin at para din sa anak ko. Kaya siguro nandito na ‘ko sa ganitong posisyon ngayon.”
At the press conference, Camille and the other cast members of the program were asked if they believe in serendipity. Camille replied her story is a living testament to it. She and VJ were childhood friends and were grade school classmates. When VJ’s family decided to move to the US, they lost touch. Twenty years later, destiny moved its hands, and the two bumped into each other at a California beach. That was December 2012, and the rest, as they say, is history.
While her current life is a picture of a happy family and a bright future awaits them, Camille says her the memory of her first husband will forever stay with her, especially when their union brought Nathan into this world.
“Siguro yung part na ‘yon, hindi naman ‘yon mawawala kahit na ano’ng mangyari. Naging parte na ‘yon ng buhay ko, especially because I have Nathan.”

While she holds the memory of her late husband dearly in her heart, Camille is also looking forward to living her life with her family.
She explains, “But syempre, given that I already have VJ, mas nadagdagan na rin kami as family, parang nando’n na yung focus ng buhay ko ngayon.”
“As far as with me and VJ, it’s a new chapter of my life and do’n ako mas nagba-bank. Parang mas emotionally, mas ‘yun ‘yung priority ko.
“Syempre yung kay Anthony given naman na ‘yon, but with my marriage now and my family now, it’s what I have now and ‘yun ‘yung mas binubuhos ko talaga yung emotions and everything.”
