Just like any other marriage, Judy Ann Santos says her relationship with Ryan Agoncillo is far from being perfect. However, it is a union that has allowed her to grow and to feel genuine happiness.
“Best part na may asawa ka, of course, meron kang constant na kausap, may constant companion ka,” she says about her almost nine-year marriage.
Judy Ann, who married Ryan in April 2009, says Ryan is her reality-check — someone who does not put her on a pedestal just because she is a popular actress.
Of course, they fight like any other couple. But Judy Ann and Ryan always realize why they are together in the first place. “Of course, it’s not a perfect marriage. Of course, darating sa punto gusto mong maglaslas ng pulso, pero sa moment lang na nag-aaway kayo, pero pagkatapos no’n, masarap na uli.”
The mother of three exclaims further, “And at the same time, pag misis ka kasi, for some reason, alam mong kumpleto ka, bilang tao, bilang babae, kumpleto ka.”
During the Star Cinema online chat to promote her movie, Ang Dalawang Mrs. Reyes, the 39-year-old thespian wants her family to be in a constant happy state.
Kasi gano’n akong tao.
“Ayoko ng may nag-aaway. Gusto ko maaliwalas kami sa bahay. Gusto ko masaya kami.”
And to reach that happy state, Judy Ann says you need to work hard at making it happen. She adds it's how moms become superwomen. For the love of your family, "Ang dami mong kayang gawin."
