Sunshine Cruz: You Don't Always Need A Partner To Celebrate Valentine's Day

Like Cyndi Lauper said in her iconic song, Sunshine Cruz just wants to have fun—and spend time with her girls! Last Tuesday, the actress, who recently revealed that she is currently single, chose to celebrate Valentine’s day with her friends and three daughters Angelina, Sam, and Chesca, proving that you don’t need a man to be happy!

"We don’t always need a partner to celebrate Hearts' Day. We can also spend it with people we love and care about the most (parents, children, friends). Single ladies, get out and have fun with other singles because we deserve it!” she told Cosmo. 

Days before Valentine’s Day, Sunshine and her girls even spent a day in celebration of their own “Galentine’s Day,” hanging out over good food and drinks.

“We celebrated Galentine’s together by having good food and drinks together. We ate in Salt & Ice then had dessert in Bungalow Cafe. A simple but fun celebration! We were able to catch up and talk as a family during our “Galentine’s” date,” Sam shared.

For the 18-year-old celeb daughter, nothing beats the tradition of spending the holiday of love with their mom, with them making it a point to surprise her with gifts, flowers, and even breakfast in bed during the day itself. “The best thing about spending Valentine's with our mom is just getting to talk to her about everything. Seeing her happy when we surprise her makes us happy too.”

Echoing Sunshine’s sentiments, she said, “Personally, you don’t need a partner/boyfriend to celebrate Valentine’s Day. You can always spend it with your family and loved ones.”
