“Ang sabi lang po nila pasasayahin po nila kami sa araw ng aming kasal,” May Jean Acosta, the bride in the trending story said as she shares that the gift was from their siblings and relatives.
And indeed, they really made the couple happy.
“Halo-halong emotions po eh, masaya,” she said, apparently a little overwhelmed by the surprise made on their wedding day. Who wouldn’t feel a little shocked, right?

Geraldine Hizole, owner of Gee’s Events Management Solutions, the couple’s wedding coordinator said that they didn’t even put in the invitation that “cash” was preferred by the couple as a gift. The couple is already happy that they are spending their special day with their loved ones. Gifts or no gifts, their presence is already enough.
In the traditional part of the wedding reception, the couple’s first dance, the host suddenly announced that their siblings have a gift for them.
This is the part where we usually put cash bills in the bride’s wedding gown, and when someone put in a couple of one-thousand peso bills, the crowd goes crazy.
But in this wedding, not only did the crowd went crazy. Netizens went wild, too.
The host jokingly asked, “Six digits ba yan?”, and we all know it wasn’t.
The first installment of the P1.2M cash came from a luggage. It was tucked inside, and as it was being taken out, a cape full of one-thousand bills appeared. The “money cape” was then put in the bride while they were still doing their first dance. The couple is already in shock and awe as the wedding host called another relative, holding another “money cape” full of one-thousand bills.

“Dahil marami din daw naitulong si groom sa kanila (siblings and relatives), kaya bilang kapalit, yan ang naisip nila,” the wedding coordinator, Geraldine Hizole shared the reason why the relatives thought of giving the couple the gift.
