'Hindi ako financer": Ninang's post on role of godparents goes viral
A Facebook post by netizen Dyanne Jordan Montiero has gone viral for her straightforward views on the role of godparents, in light of the approaching holidays.
"Nagninang po ako para magguide sa kanila habang lumalaki. Hindi para maging financer," she said in her post. This is a reaction to an old private message with an unnamed friend whose child apparently is Montiero's godchild.
In a series of screenshots of their conversation, the friend repeatedly asks Montiero for her child's Christmas gift, even suggesting that the latter just send it through a money transfer service.
"Alam ko po yung essence ng Pasko na magbigayan at magmahalan. Kaya di niyo na po ako kelangan iremind. Haha. Basta sakin lang po, pwede niyo naman po akong puntahan pag pasko. Or pag nagkasalubong tayo at dala ko yung papasko ko e ibibigay ko naman po. ☺ pasensya na kung medyo sarcastic ang mga reply ko. Nakaka-offend na po kase," she ends her post. (abs-cbnnews.com)

The 53-year-old comedienne-TV host tied the knot with fiance Gerald Sibayan, 24, in a star-studded event yesterday, December 12, at Christ the King Church in Quezon City.
