Aiko Melendez celebrated her daughter Marthena Jickain's high school graduation by sharing a heartfelt letter on Instagram.
On Tuesday, May 28, Aiko posted a carousel of Marthena's graduation photos. One showed her daughter wearing a stunning Filipiniana dress, another in her school uniform, and the last one, in her varsity outfit.

"Congratulations on your graduation! This is such a proud moment for you and all of us. I know how hard you've worked for this, juggling your time studying and being an athlete and volleyball player," Aiko wrote, praising her daughter's dedication.
She continued, "You have shown incredible dedication, passion, and discipline and achieved so much. Watching you grow, learn, and succeed has been one of the greatest joys of my life."
The mom of two also shared advice as Marthena enters a new chapter: "Remember that the future is wide open with endless possibilities. Continue to follow your dreams, stay true to yourself, and know you have all the courage and talent to achieve whatever you set your mind and heart to," she wrote.
"With all my love, I am rooting for you!! I will always be your number one supporter and best friend. Thank you for never being a headache to me. To my little me, thank you for studying so hard and giving me good grades. You make me so proud and happy!" she concluded.
Aiko added that her daughter, whom she lovingly calls Mimi, bagged the Outstanding Student and Loyalty Awards.
Marthena is Aiko’s daughter with ex-husband Martin Jickain. The actress-politician was married to Martin for ten years before they separated. She also has a son with her first husband, actor Jomari Yllana, before their marriage was annulled in 2005.
