Andi Eigenmann Shares the Most Adorable Lolo-and-Apo Photo on Dad Mark Gil's BirthdayAndi Eigenmann's dad, the late actor Mark Gil, would have been 58 this year.by Rachel Perez .
This year, 2019, marks the late actor Mark Gil’s fifth death anniversary. His daughter Andi Eigenmann commemorated her dad’s birthday by sharing a lovely lolo-and-apo photo of her dad and her firstborn daughter Ellie.
“Happy birthday, dad!” the mom of two wrote on Instagram Stories. “Thinking of you extra today and hoping Lilo [Andi's newborn daughter with her partner, professional surfer Philmar Alipayo] got to meet you,” she said. And though her wish will never be granted, Andi gave an assurance that she would introduce him to her younger daughter through the “endless stories, for sure!”
Born Raphael John Gil Eigenmann, Mark succumbed to liver cirrhosis on September 1, 2014. He would have celebrated his 58th birthday yesterday, September 25.
Andi has always had a great connection with her dad and the Eigenmann family though her parents, Mark and actress Jaclyn Jose, separated. Since Mark passed, the actress-turned-island-living mama has strived to keep her father’s memory alive in her, especially on special days like Father’s Day, birthdays, and death anniversaries.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOWADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
“Remembering you is easy. Missing you is the heartache that never goes away,” Andi wrote on Father’s Day in 2017. “I promise to always look up. Your champ, always and forever, Andrea,” Andi signed her mini-letter with her real name back in 2016 to commemorate Mark’s second death anniversary.
Andi is not alone. Her siblings Ira, Gabby, Maxine, Stephanie, and Timothy (Sid Lucero) will undoubtedly help her keep their dad’s memory alive for her daughters,Ellie and Lilo, and their equally good-looking cousins.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW
