Andi Eigenmann Is Not Giving Up On Having A Healthier Second PregnancyAndi Eigenmann encourages other preggos who have been having difficulty keeping fit to never give up!by Rachel Perez .
A few weeks after committing to have a healthier second pregnancy, Andi Eigenmann admitted that she had not been making good on her promise. Now into her 26th week, Andi is disappointed in herself.
"I promised myself I'd stay healthy and take care of my body... I promised to continue on with my holistic approach to fitness and nutrition as soon as my morning sickness left my body," Andi wrote on Instagram. "But I kinda haven't been," she admitted. "I relapsed," Andi wrote on her Instagram Stories.
"I kept going for the lame excuse of wanting to take all the rest I could for the baby. But in reality, the lack of physical exercise and excessive eating isn't only harmful to our bodies but to our babies as well," Andi said. During her first pregnancy with the now-7-year-old Ellie, the preggo mom revealed that her doctor put her on a diet because she was gaining more weight than expected. But Andi didn't listen and in the end, had to have an emergency C-section because she and Baby Ellie were both too big.
Heading into the last three months of her pregnancy, Andi kept it real. "Pregnancy has been feeling realer than ever—not sleeping well, muscles all sore, experiencing all sorts of discomfort and just feeling grosser (than I have always been)! Having stretch marks, cellulite, a sagging butt, flabby arms, and a chubby face, "these changes in our body are completely normal," she stressed, adding that it would have been easier to accept if she had stayed true to her promise of a fitter second pregnancy, taking more care of herself and the baby in her womb.
But the soon-to-be mama of two is not throwing in the towel just yet. Instead of having a fitness goal in mind, she's shifting her perspective. Andi recently returned to an activity she loves — surfing — as her chosen preggy exercise. Don't worry, she's been surfing for a long time even before pregnancy, and even has her boyfriend / father of her second child, professional surfer and coach Philmar Alipayo, with her whenever she rides the waves.
