Andi Eigenmann on Being a Mom of Two: 'It Can Get Demanding But It's a Lovely Feeling'

Raising one kid can already be overwhelming, so just imagine if you add another into the mix. For Andi Eigenmann, who very recently gave birth to her second child, Lilo, it’s finally sinking in that she’s now a mother of two girls.

Last July 29, Andi shared on Instagram that it was the first school night with a new baby in their house. Ellie had just come back from a sleepover, so the new mom probably felt the rush of preparing her eldest for school and caring for a newborn.

“All I can say is, HOLY KAMOTE I HAVE TWO KIDS!” the mom wrote on Instagram as caption to a photo of Ellie and Lilo. “Two is a lot you guys…[rolling on the floor laughing emoji] Having a kid and an infant at the same time could get demanding but still such a lovely feeling and I’m so glad that my ate has been so amazing to her lil sis.”

Despite the changes (and challenges), Andi is quite content with this new stage of motherhood. “I am kind of losing my mind raising two little children. But through this I found my soul,” she shares. “It’s exhausting, but I love being needed by them, I love being there for them.”

She adds, “I am taking in and enjoying every bit of this stage of motherhood as much as I can. Because I know that time flies by quickly, and in a snap, they won’t be little anymore.”

Enjoying being a new mama again

 Just a week after Lilo’s birth, Andi and her family were able to stage a newborn shoot for their baby girl. The photos were taken by Cocoon Studio, a studio that specializes in newborn photography, at Andi’s house.

“It was a newborn shoot for Lilo, with some more layouts with @ellieeigengirl [Ellie] and @chepoxz [Philmar Alipayo] in mind,” Andi explains on Instagram.

Andi, who had earlier shared that she was not in a hurry to start her back-to-fitness plan as she wants to recover completely from her C-section first, admitted that she had not planned to join in on the shoot.

“I didn’t feel my appearance was ‘100’ back to normal yet = confidence level [construction sign],” she says.

The mom of two eventually joined in after realizing that “these photos aren’t for looking as perfect as I could be. These are moments I can never take back and would be so precious if turned into pictures.”

In the end, Andi was happy with the output. “I am so happy I decided to join because the photos turned out to be so good and I am so happy to have these as a souvenir to keep forever,” she says, adding that she couldn’t wait to put it the photos in her wallet.

Lilo, whose real name is Keliana Alohi Eigenmann Alipayo, is Andi’s daughter with professional surfer Philmar Alipayo.
