What is the Book Stop Project?
The Book Stop Project reimagines the traditional library experience. Instead of focusing solely on a large collection of books, it creates a space for community interaction and learning. This mobile library is designed to be casual and easily accessible, allowing for spontaneous connections through books.
First conceived in 2015 by WTA Architecture + Design Studio, the project debuted at Ayala Triangle in Makati in April 2016. It has since traveled to various locations, including Intramuros, Plaza del Carmen in Quiapo, Ayala Alabang, and Quezon Memorial Circle, before returning to Intramuros in 2017. In 2018, the library was permanently installed at Plaza Roma in Intramuros, across the Manila Cathedral.
