Camille Prats And Her Son Attend A Purity Ball: 'We Made A Vow To Stay Pure'

Camille Prats on Saturday shared online that she attended a purity ball with her eldest son, Nathan Linsangan, who's now 16 years old. 

The actress and host took to social media to express her pride for her son. She also posted the ball's highlights on her Instagram account and wrote her hopes and wishes for her son.

"Grateful for tonight's meaningful event! We made a vow together as mom and son to stay pure until he finds the one whom he wants to bring to God to spend the rest of his life with. (Matagal pa yoooon thank God)," Camille captioned.

She added, "Nate, I pray that God will impress it upon your heart the importance of staying pure in obedience to Him for as we say, obedience brings… blessings. May your heart be blessed and be aligned to God's will for your life. Love you forever boys." She then tagged Nathan and her younger son, Ice.

Nathan is Camille's son from her first husband, Anthony Linsangan, who passed away in 2011 due to cancer. Meanwhile, Ice is VJ Yambao's son with his previous partner. The actress married VJ in 2017, and they have two kids together: Nala and Nolann.

Camille's close friend in the industry, Iya Villania-Arellano, commented that her sons are "blessings" to their future partners.

What's a Purity Ball?

A purity ball, which Camille described as a "meaningful event," is a ceremony where children make a vow of abstinence from sex before marriage, and their parents promise to help them keep that vow. It's not typically practiced in the country, but is quite prevalent in the West. The ceremony concludes with the children, mainly teens, wearing purity rings, symbolizing the commitment made.
