CAO is a financial support scheme from Crimson Education for exceptionally talented students in the Philippines who need free access to Crimson's esteemed admissions assistance to get into top universities in the United States (US).

Who can apply for Crimson Access Opportunity (CAO)?

According to the official Crimson Education website, they are looking for students with the following qualifications:

• High school students who will be in their final year of high school by the fall of 2024 and plan to start university in the fall term of 2025.
• They welcome students on a gap year who intend to start university in the fall term of 2025. They do not support transfer students.
• They welcome students from all around the world! CAO supports students from every country and nationality. They encourage students to apply no matter where they  are located.

When it comes to qualities, here's what CAO is looking for:

• Demonstrate strong extracurricular involvement, leadership skills, and academic honors
• Demonstrate financial need — specifically students whose families can contribute less than 30,000 USD towards their education per year
• Demonstrate strong English proficiency
• Are ambitious, driven, and enthusiastic about reaching their dreams at a US university

Through this, underprivileged students receive free personalized guidance and mentorship from our admission experts to enhance their prospects of securing admission to top global universities.

This includes guidance on developing a balanced school list and a competitive application strategy, as well as extensive assistance in brainstorming, editing personal essays, and preparation to stand out during interviews.

How has Crimson Access Opportunity helped other students?

CAO has supported over 250 students across 60 countries, including securing admissions into 23 Ivy League schools. These students have gained admission to a wide range of colleges including Stanford, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, UPenn, Dartmouth, Brown, Columbia, Duke, UChicago, NYU, Northwestern, Carnegie Mellon, Tufts, Bowdoin, UC Berkeley, and more.

On top of their successful admittance into these top schools, CAO students have been offered merit-based scholarships, such as the Robertson Scholarship, Duke’s University Scholars Program, and Vanderbilt’s Chancellor’s Scholarship, among others.

Will the Crimson Access Opportunity cover fees to apply and attend college?

No. CAO offers Filipino students access to Crimson's admissions support services at no cost. However, applicants are responsible for covering their own application fees, including those for standardized tests. While the program will assist CAO students in seeking financial aid, it's important to note that the scholarship and services provided do not ensure admission to any colleges or availability of financial or merit scholarships upon admission. Crimson Education's services focus solely on college admission support and cannot guarantee admission outcomes.
