Dave Almarinez And Patrick Meneses Had A Talk 'Lalaki Sa Lalaki' About Mandy

Even before their wedding, Dave Almarinez reveals he and Patrick Meneses sat down to talk “lalaki sa lalaki” about Patrick’s daughter with Dave’s now-wife, Ara Mina.

Ara and Patrick have a daughter, Amanda Gabrielle “Mandy” Meneses, who is 6 years old. Ara and Dave got married on June 30, 2021, in Baguio City, and Patrick, Bulacan’s mayor, was a wedding guest.

The actress and the undersecretary of the Philippine International Trading Corporation sat down with Pep.ph on July 1 for an interview and talked about Patrick’s presence at their wedding.

Ara says, “We’re happy naman na um-attend siya sa wedding namin and he’s happy for us.”

“Si Pat naman, hindi ko naman basta in-invite lang, ipinakilala ko muna sila,” Ara says about Patrick and Dave.

When the two men sat down for their talk, Dave, who has two kids of his own from a previous relationship, assured Patrick he would care for Mandy like she was his own daughter.

“Pero long before I made a proposal, parang nagkaano... nagkakarinigan na kami.

“Siyempre, lalaki sa lalaki, di ba, parang ganun. Respect to each other siyempre.

“It’s very important na maipagkakatiwala si Mandy, na maalagaan yung anak nila, just like the same sa anak ko,” Dave said.

Yesterday, July 2, Patrick wished the couple well on Instagram and shared photos of the three of them and him and Mandy at the wedding. His message, which included Ara and Dave’s wedding celebration hashtag, delighted netizens who commented about his “open-mindedness” and the lack of bitterness between the two exes.
