DFA Opens 10,000 Passport Applications Slots Daily, Holds Passport On Wheels Program

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is opening around 10,000 online appointment slots for passport application daily from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Aside from this, the DFA is also visiting various parts of the country as part of its Passport on Wheels project, which fast-tracks passport applications and renewals. According to a report by SunStar Cebu, the program involves two mega vans which each serve 800 to 1,000 applications per day.

The DFA’s Passport on Wheels program has already visited several cities and municipalities in the Philippines, but there are some events still happening in approaching weeks. Sto. Tomas, Batangas

Date: November 29, 2019 (Friday), 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Venue: Evacuation Center, Poblacion 3, Sto. Tomas, Batangas (back of the St. Thomas Aquinas Parish Church)

No signed waiver, no appointment setting. Only pre-registered applicants will be entertained.

Makati City

Date: November 21, 2019 (Thursday), 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Venue: Makati City Hall Quadrangle

Note: Application forms may be downloaded from the DFA portal or acquired from the International Relations Department (IRD) Office, 20/F New Makati City Hall Building.

Cebu City

Date: Open until December 28, 2019 (Saturday), 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Mondays to Saturdays)

Venue: Lower Ground Floor, Mountain Wing (near Krispy Kreme), SM Seaside City Cebu
