DFA Opens 10,000 Passport Applications Slots Daily, Holds Passport On Wheels Program

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) is opening around 10,000 online appointment slots for passport application daily from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Aside from this, the DFA is also visiting various parts of the country as part of its Passport on Wheels project, which fast-tracks passport applications and renewals. According to a report by SunStar Cebu, the program involves two mega vans which each serve 800 to 1,000 applications per day.

The DFA’s Passport on Wheels program has already visited several cities and municipalities in the Philippines, but there are some events still happening in approaching weeks. Take note that only pre-registered applicants are entertained at each event.

Batangas City, Batangas

Date: November 14, 2019 (Thursday)

Venue: Batangas City Convention Center

Note: Application forms are available at the Batangas City Civil Registrar’s Office.

Sto. Tomas, Batangas

Date: November 29, 2019 (Friday), 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Venue: Evacuation Center, Poblacion 3, Sto. Tomas, Batangas (back of the St. Thomas Aquinas Parish Church)

Lyceum of the Philippines-Batangas

Date: December 3, 2019 (Tuesday)

Venue: LPU Batangas Main Campus

Note: Those who have pre-registered for the Passport on Wheels program are required to attend the encoding and appointment setting on November 18, Monday, at the Mac Lab, 2/F SHL Building, LPU Batangas Main Campus, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Don’t forget to bring your signed waivers (download here), requirements for verification, and one valid ID. No signed waiver, no appointment setting. Only pre-registered applicants will be entertained.

Makati City

Date: November 21, 2019 (Thursday), 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Venue: Makati City Hall Quadrangle

Note: Application forms may be downloaded from the DFA portal or acquired from the International Relations Department (IRD) Office, 20/F New Makati City Hall Building.

Cebu City

Date: Open until December 28, 2019 (Saturday), 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Mondays to Saturdays)

Venue: Lower Ground Floor, Mountain Wing (near Krispy Kreme), SM Seaside City Cebu
