Disney XD Launches in the Philippines beginning May 31Home of new Marvel series, the highly anticipated Star Wars animation series, and more, in HD
The Walt Disney Company Southeast Asia (TWDC SEA), together with pay TV operator Cignal TV and cable distributor Accion will launch Disney XD, a brand new kids channel, in the Philippines. Cignal TV will make the channel available for the first time in High Definition (HD) in the Philippines on May 31, 2014 (Saturday).
Targeted at kids aged six to 14 years old, Disney XD will be a boy-focused, girl-inclusive channel offering for the Philippine market. The channel will be carried on Cignal TV’s basic postpaid plan 430 (Channel 107), and on the basic pack of provincial cable affiliates through Accion.
Disney XD has a creative programming mix comprised of original Disney XD series, action/adventure movies, animation and anime, and comedy. Disney XD will be the TV home of new Marvel series featuring superheroes such as Spider-Man, Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America and Thor, and introduce dynamic stories full of action, adventure and heroism to a whole new generation of fans. The channel will also feature original Disney XD series including the martial arts comedy Kickin' It, the fun animated series Kick Buttowski - Suburban Daredevil, live action series Crash & Bernstein, and the highly anticipated Star Wars animation series, Star Wars Rebels.ADVERTISEMENT - CONTINUE READING BELOW

Starting May 31, all Cignal TV post-paid plan subscribers will get to enjoy Disney XD in HD on Cignal. Disney XD is the third Disney 24-hour channel on Cignal TV and will join Disney Channel (Channel 32) on Plan 430, and Disney Junior (Channel 31) on Plan 590.
