Divine Lee On Feeling Mom Guilt With Daughter Blanca: 'Lagi Siyang May Kahati'

Women who are pregnant the second child cherish the moments they spend time with their firstborn before they give birth. It’ll be the last time he or she will be an only child.

Divine Lee Go just gave birth to her second child, daughter Blanca, last October 1. Nearly two weeks after, the new mom of two opens up about another side of welcoming another baby.

“I get a lot of mom guilt with Blanca,” the model and mompreneur admitted on Instagram Stories. “I sometimes feel I don’t hold her as much as compared to Bazzy,” Divine said. she recalled she always held her son until he wanted his own space at four months old.

“Sometimes, I feel I can’t give her 100-percent [because] lagi siyang may kahati,” Divine expressed. But then, her daughter gives her the cutest smiles as she held her close, reassuring her that Blanca feels loved.

It’s not just the mom of two that’s getting used to the new baby in the family. When Baz met her baby sister, Divine said he looked unsure. She and husband Blake Go don’t know yet how much the little boy understands about being a big brother.

“We have to teach him to be gentle,” Divine shared on Instagram Stories a day after she got home from the hospital after giving birth to Blanca, “But generally deadma siya.” But this week, Baz has warmed up. He looked so kilig when they let him ‘carry’ Blanca.

Little Blanca’s arrival may be a surprise (she came out 10 days earlier that her mom’s scheduled C-section), but the age gap between her kids was not. Divine sought their doctor’s advice on the right time to get pregnant again, which is one year and a half from birth to birth.

“We really want a big family for ourselves, and actually naaawa ako na mag-isa [si Baz],” the new mom of two shared in a previous interview with Smartparenting.com.ph.

She was already pregnant before Baz turned 1 year old in May 2019. It’s just perfect timing for Divine since she didn’t want to still be pregnant over the coming holidays.
