The little cutie is celebrating her fourth month today, March 14, and to honor the milestone, mom Mariel Padilla took to Instagram last March 12 to show Maria Isabella's last day as a 3-month-old. “Time really flies. Cherishing every moment I have with her. A love like no other,” she wrote in the caption. The photograph was an adorable close-up shot of her baby, which made us wonder: does she take after her dad or her mom? Mariel had miscarried twice before carrying Maria Isabella to term and gave birth in the U.S last November. After two months, the mag-ina returned to the Philippines and were reunited with husband and dad, Robin Padilla.(gmanetwork.com)
Gloc-9 and wife welcome third child
Award-wining Pinoy rapper Gloc-9 (real name: Aristotle Pollisco) and his wife, Thea, welcomed their third child, a daughter whom they chose to name Savannah. The new dad posted the first photo of his new baby on Instagram. “Mahal na mahal ka namin. Basta lagi mong tatandaan, ako ang bahala, anak. Kakayanin ko lahat para sa inyo ng mga ate at kuya mo,” Gloc-9 wrote as the caption. He and Thea are already parents to twins, son Sean Daniel and daughter Danielle Shaun.
Thea also posted an Instagram message, but this time it was for the twins. ”As the oldest child myself, I know firsthand how different everything is going to be for you, but I can tell you without a doubt — you are about to receive the greatest gift your dad, and I could ever give you,” the new mom of three wrote. Thea also warned the twins that their parents might be too preoccupied with their newborn baby sister for a while. “Please know that we love you so, so much, and your baby sister won’t change that – if anything we’ll love you more. We’re so, so excited to see the three of you together and watch your relationship grow,” Thea added. Congratulations! (pep.ph)
The Magandang Buhay co-host shared an exclusive behind-the-scenes video from her summer-themed maternity photo shoot, which included her panganay, daughter Mela, who was equally excited to meet her baby sister. In the video, Melai shared, “Wala pang pangalan kasi nga ang pamahiin namin na kailangan munang i-deliver ng healthy [yung baby].” Melai hopes to deliver her second baby naturally; according to her doctor, her placenta is no longer blocking the way. She also revealed that her family plans to take a break and spend her postpartum recovery days in Mindoro. The TV host revealed she and Jason plan to have more kids in due time. Melai’s maternity shoot was produced with the help of her morning talk show family and baby stroller brand Aprica.
Momshie Melai, Popsie Jason, and Ate Mela are just weeks away from welcoming their second daughter. She had a surprise baby shower recently, courtesy of family, friends, and her fans. “Congrats, sa surprise niyo. Nagtagumpay talaga kayo. ‘Di ko naramdaman na may pa-surprise kayo ha… Mahal na mahal ko kayo. Salamat sa prayers,” she wrote as a caption to an album she posted on Instagram. (abs-cbn.com)
Senate okays free Wi-Fi in schools, terminals and other public places Last Monday, March 14, the Senate voted 18-0 to approve Senate Bill NO. 1277, or the Free Internet Access in Public Places Act during its third and final reading. The proposed measure seeks to provide free Internet access in public places, including public school, state colleges, and universities; public hospitals and health centers, transportation terminals such as train stations, airports, seaports; public parks and plaza, and all local government offices. The bill complements the government’s approved national broadband plan and aims to speed up construction of telecommunications infrastructure across the country, according to Senator Bam Aquino, who co-authored the proposal. "If the Internet is a human right, then Wi-Fi is a basic public service. But for it to become one, the hindrances which bar its full enjoyment by the people must first be removed," Senator Ralph Recto said. Senator Aquino added that it would be a big help “for those looking for employment, para sa mga tourist areas natin, at mga estudyanteng kailangan ng tulong sa research.” (gmanetwork.com)
