Drew Arellano, Iya Villania's husband, finally gets a vasectomy, and he is earning praise for it.
The TV host and dad of five shared a post-op photo on Instagram, saying, "Happy late and advanced Mother’s Day to my wife." He added the hashtags, "Happy VA-SEC-TO-MEEE," "snip snip," and "Sarap yung sedative ah."
A vasectomy is a safe and effective form of permanent birth control for men.

In an exclusive interview with Smart Parenting, Drew admitted that he had planned to have the procedure done last year, but it didn't materialize. This time, he finally made it happen, reaching out to his urologist and setting a schedule.
Drew emphasized that getting a vasectomy isn't something to be embarrassed about.
"Ako, my mindset is... She did all the work already—all the birthing and everything. Ano ba naman yung katiting na snip-snip, right? So, that's where I'm coming from. I feel that's one of the duties that I need to do. And katiting lang yun, compared to her birthing. That's my mindset," Drew told Smart Parenting.
Iya shared Drew's post on her Instagram story and added, "'Late' coz this was supposed to happen last year pa (laughing emoji) and then Anya happened (laughing emoji) so this time he made sure (laughing emoji)."
She also shared a video clip of Drew, still groggy from the procedure.
In the comments section of his post, his friends and followers flooded Drew with praises, saying, Iya's blessed to have him.
Isabelle Daza, mom of three, said, "Ayan, it's Jellytime na," referring to her brand of pleasure toys. Drew replied, "Recovery time muna, Bellz."
Bianca Gonzalez, mom of two and Drew's former co-host commented with his real name and hands up emojis, "Andrew James!!!!"
Followers also left comments like, "Ganito sana!" and "Buti pa 'to eh!" Others called Drew "lodi" and "the best," applauding his decision.
One follower perfectly summed up the sentiment: "Let's normalize this."
Drew's decision reflects a growing movement of dads taking a more active role in family planning and proudly discussing it.
Drew and Iya welcomed their fifth child, Anya Love, on February 11. Their other children are Primo, Leon, Alana, and Astro.
