UPDATE: The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have picked a name for their firstborn son: Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. His great grandparents — Her Majesty The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, and grandmother Doria Ragland are captured together with the new parents and Baby Archie in this new photo:

Ever since Prince Harry personally announced to the media that his wife Meghan Markle had given birth to a baby boy on May 6, 2019, everyone had been clamoring to see a photo of their first child. And today, May 8, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex finally introduced Baby Sussex, and he is absolutely adorable!

People reports Meghan describes motherhood as "magic" and “I have the best two guys in the world, so I’m really happy.”

Meghan adds that Baby Sussex “has the sweetest temperament. He’s really calm.” To which Harry quipped, “I don’t know where he gets that from!”

Harry added: “Everyone says babies change so much over two weeks. We’re basically monitoring how the changing process happens over this next month. His looks are changing every single day, so who knows?”

So how has parenting been like for the last two and a half days? Harry said: “It’s great. Parenting is amazing...we’re just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy.

Harry, who excitedly announed the arrival of their baby last Monday, said they were looking forward to spending some “precious times with him as he slowly, slowly starts to grow up.”

The newest royal baby was born on Monday at 5:26 AM London time, and weighed 7 lbs and 3 oz at birth. Meghan's mom Doria Ragland is reportedly staying with them at the moment to help care for the newborn.

"I'm very excited to announce that Meghan and myself had a baby boy early this morning, a very healthy boy. Mother and baby are doing incredibly well. It's been the most amazing experience I can ever possibly imagine," the Duke told the press waiting outside their home at Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, England.  

"How any woman does what they do is beyond comprehension, but we're both absolutely thrilled and so grateful to the support of everybody out there.

"I haven't been in many births — this is definitely my first birth — and it's amazing. Absolutely incredible. And as I said, I'm so incredibly proud of my wife. And, as every father and parent would ever say, your baby is absolutely amazing. I'm just over the moon," he added.

Additionally, other members of the royal family have expressed their joy regarding the birth of Baby Sussex. Harry's older brother William, the Duke of Cambridge, together with his wife Katherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, jokingly said he welcomes Harry to the "Sleep Deprivation Society," a.k.a. "parenting."

Harry and Meghan have not still revealed the name of their baby. But the new father previously told reporters they will be thinking about it in the days to come.

Meghan, formerly a Hollywood actress who starred in the TV series Suits, gave up her acting career to marry Prince Harry in May 2018.
