But, last week, the tech giant sent out invitations to their next event which practically confirmed the launch of the much-awaited iPhone 12 Series. Today, Apple has finally unveiled the iPhone 12 so fans can finally put all speculations to rest. We're here to give you a rundown on the official details about the iPhone 12 series.

Everything you need to know about the iPhone 12 series:

There are four iPhones models in the series.

Say hello to the iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 12 Pro Max, and the much-talked-about iPhone 12 mini—a 5.4-inch phone which is the smallest iPhone design since the launch of the iPhone 5 in 2012.

The iPhone 12 comes in a brand-new color.

It was rumored that the iPhone 12 series is where we will see the iPhone in a deep blue color for the first time and now it's official! Plus, the iPhone 12 features flat edges for a sleek feel.

The iPhone 12 is more compact.

If you're into lighter, more compact phones, the iPhone 12 is 11% thinner, 15% smaller, and 16% lighter than its predecessor.

The iPhone 12 mini is the smallest 5G smartphone in the world.

The iPhone 12 mini is basically the iPhone 12 but in a smaller, handier version. It features a 5.4-inch OLED display and it will retail for U.S. $699 (roughly P34,000).

The iPhone 12 is tougher than its predecessors.

The back of the phone is made of glass, but according to Apple, the iPhone 12 is tougher than previous iPhones. It also introduces a new technology called Ceramic Shield, which makes the screen a lot more durable.

The iPhone 12 Pro comes in four sleek colors.

The iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max are available in Silver, Black, Gold, and Pacific Blue — a brand-new color that replaced Midnight Green. The phones also feature the same flat edges as the non-Pro models.

The iPhone 12 Pro is equipped with a powerful triple camera system.

The Pro models are equipped with a 12-megapixel wide-angle camera with a new 1.6 aperture, allowing you to shoot photos with more depth. The triple camera system also houses a 12-megapixel telephoto lens with a 4x optical zoom range and 2.0 aperture. Plus, the Pro models let you shoot in RAW!

The iPhone 12 Pro Max is the largest iPhone yet.

The iPhone 12 Pro Max features a 6.7-inch screen display, making it the largest iPhone Apple has ever created.

The smartphones are 5G compatible.

If you live in areas where 5G signal is available and you're planning to get your hands on the new iPhones, then you'll be pleased to know that the smartphones are built with 5G compatibility so you can enjoy faster Internet connection.

The iPhone 12 Series features an A14 Bionic chip.
