Isabel Granada still 'critical but stable' after brain hemorrhage
The official statement released by the singer-actress's husband Arnel Cowley confirms that Isabel had a brain aneurysm: "She suffered a brain hemorrhage which indicates an aneurysm and in turn affected her heart." Arnel's statement was posted on Facebook by Joseph Rivera, Isabel's cousin, and actor Chuckie Dreyfus, Isabel's friend.
"It's just sudden," Arnel said in an interview with ABS-CBN's Bandila. He shared that Isabel complained of a little bit of a headache in the morning and took medication for it. "Nung nagta-talk siya, sabi lang niya, 'Ay nahihilo ako,' and then she collapsed. Beforehand, there were no signs of anything. She was laughing, she was having a laugh, and she was joking with me," he recalled.
Isabel is still in "critical but stable condition" according to Arnel. She's in the "same unconscious state though her vital signs are good," Joseph shared with Pep.ph. Isabel is in the intensive care unit, and for now, only her husband is allowed to see her, as doctors continue to conduct numerous tests. Arnel continues to request for prayers for Isabel, and thanks everyone who has shown support.
"To the news that says my wife Isabel Granada has passed is incorrect! Please respect our privacy and please do not make speculations or misinform the public," Arnel posted on his personal Facebook account. (pep.ph)
